Democracy & rule of law can flourish only when people have effective & speedy access to justice, for nothing rankles more in the human heart than menacing sense of injustice. There is greater realization now that legal aid is an essential component of justice.
The volunteers are asked to make four groups and they are sent in all direction to collect data in a particular format.
On the day scheduled, the experts in the relevant fields are invited from the Pune Bar and as per the records available; the villagers are given counselling in camera or in public for free.
If the party is interested to avail the free legal aid service for long time they are asked to visit the Legal Aid Clinic at the College where regularly aid is given till the matter is finally disposed off. No fee is charged for such an advice.

Survey of Litigation
In order to provide legal counselling and legal aid to the villagers, a survey of the total litigation among villagers is conducted by the volunteers to record the legal problems and litigation of the villages. The survey is conducted by the interview method and litigation data is classified in the following manner:-
