The Journey Begins

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s New Law college selects the students by conducting an all India level entrance exam. The students are selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test & their marks in std. 12th. The cut off Percentage last year was 80%.

Course counseling

The selection process is followed by counseling of the student. Here the student according to the expert guidance team is suggested to opt for the various inter-disciplinary courses available such as:-
• BBA LLB (5 years)
• BA LLB. (5 years)
• LLB.(3 years)

Selection of Avenues

Students are made to choose certain areas of specialization in their first year itself. The avenues available for them are:
• Constitutional Law
• Criminal Law
• Civil Law
• Corporate Law
• Family Law
• IPR
The career options are discussed by large and the students are made aware of the various available opportunities for them by proper career path teams which comprises of internal faculty as well as external experts.

Formation of Groups

After the proper selection of the specialized avenue the students with similar minded career prospective are brought together & their further training begins. These students then upto their final placements are groomed & trained in their specific avenue through class room teaching & practical training methods.

A clear picture about the various career avenues is given to the students by bringing in experts from various organization and students satisfies their queries via various interactive sessions.

Innovative Diploma Para- Legal Courses

Apart from the regular curriculum a student has wide scope for pursuing subsidiary diploma & Para – legal courses which are helpful for the specified specialization that he would opt after completion of his career.

Practical Training Methods

During the duration of five years of the course various practical aspects are induced in curriculum to support the syllabus. During the pre law years students based on their specialized avenues are taken for field visits like visit to industries, banks, high courts, commissions, consumer courts, labour courts, NGOs etc. To supplement this the students are also given training in:
• Judicial Exams
• Bar Exams
• Personality Development Training
The students are also provided with research opportunities & participation in International moot court through foreign collaborations. The college has 2 research centers established for the purpose.

Specialized Placement Module

Specialized Placement training programs such as SWOT analysis. Personality Development and corporate training week etc. are organized for the final year students to enhance their employability. Here experts from various organizations are invited to discuss the current trends in the employment market & what is required from the students to excel in their field. This helps in bridging the gap between theory & practice.

Approaching the Organizations of Repute

The placement team has built up a database of more than 25 thousand organizations which is comprised of reputed business houses, corporate law firms and various organizations of repute. Alumni of the college, holding prestigious positions in various organizations are also invited. Based upon the various avenues selected by the students the organizations are approached and proper contacts are established.
